Birth Certificate DNA Test

Endeavor DNA Laboratories offers Birth Certificate DNA test services to change the name on a birth certificate or in situations involving the Child Maintenance Service and child custody disputes. Birth Certificate DNA tests adhere to a strict chain of custody and the sampling must be witnessed with identification and photographs taken of the tested individual(s). Please note the General Register Office requires that the mother takes part in the test when results are to be used for changing or adding a name to a birth certificate.

Our laboratory is Ministry of Justice and ISO 17025:2005 accredited to perform tests directed by the civil courts in England and Wales under Section 20 of the Family Law Reform Act 1969. We provide Birth Certificate DNA testing services for individuals, solicitors, social workers and local authorities.

All of our Birth Certificate DNA tests are performed with a standard 2-day turnaround from receipt of all samples in our laboratory. Rush testing is available should you have an urgent request or need to meet a court deadline.

The General Register Office sometimes request original signed results reports and you should check whether these will be required in your case to avoid any delay with them processing your application.

Please contact us for more information on the process and pricing. You can be assured of the highest quality testing every time. Our highly trained case managers will work with your case every step of the way and are always happy to answer any queries which may arise.
